saipua products are created naturally on a 107 acre farm forty miles west of albany, ny. susan ryhanen started the business by making handmade soap from olive oil from the grocery story and a shoebox for the mold. her daughter helped her rebrand her business, using the finnish word for soap 'saippua' as a nod to her father's finnish heritage. as they have expanded into wool products, ceramics, and tabletop decor, soap remains the backbone of their buisness. hand created with intention, this soap is unlike anything else you've put your hands on.
