it's no wonder that one finds traces of a masculine influence in rachel comey's collections: the brand, launched in 2001, was initially menswear-only. shortly after its inception (and widened exposure after david bowie famously wore one of comey's designs on the david letterman show), women began buying the clothes in small sizes and quickly the label's focus shifted primarily to womenswear. just over a decade later, rachel comey's understated, elegant cool has gained a dedicated following, and we're thrilled to introduce these smart clothes and shoes to the shelves of scarpa.
it's exactly the kind of dressing we love: a sort of refined versatility. clothes that take you from day to night without trying hard at all. these designs feel indisputably fresh and current, but their vintage references (take for example, dresses that hit mid-calf and the blouson tailoring of one piece) render them timelessly elegant.
with several styles of dresses, tops, and pants in store now and with more pieces on the way -- not to mention shoes (a perfect bootie for spring, as featured in our lookbook, as well as several clogs) -- its safe to say many things are coming up comey this season at scarpa.
