ode to the chelsea boot

with fall footwear shopping surely on everyone's mind, the options for boots may start to seem endless.  i'd like to highlight my personal favorite style of autumnal footwear: the chelsea boot.

the short version of how this shoe came about goes something like this:  originally designed for queen victoria.  made popular decades later by the beatles and the mod london scene.  and now numerous interpretations offered for both men and women.  this season at scarpa, we have some fabulous chelsea boot-inspired kicks.  always with a nod to function and wearability with the signature elastic sides and pull tab at the back, these boots can be dressed up or down and will take you everywhere all season long.

the sandrine boot from coclico.  perfectly sized heel and gorgeous muted black leather.

wedge heel and sumptuous black patent leather from AGL.

the most weather appropriate pair, these gorgeous suede boots from vince feature a soft shearling lining and rubber sole.  talk about the perfect combo of comfort and style!
